Ohio Christian sweeps Volleyball in close conference match

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio --- Carlow University volleyball lost a close, 3-0, contest at Ohio Christian University in a River States Conference match Saturday.

The Celtics (6-11, 0-7 RSC) forced a win-by-two situation in the first set. Carlow was up, 24-23, but the Trailblazers (4-14, 2-5 RSC) put together three kills in a row to win, 26-24.

Carlow tied the second set twice, but Ohio Christian led the majority of the set to win, 25-21. The Celtics led by four at one point in the third set, but the Trailblazers swept the match with a set score of 25-20.

Ellie Cook (FR/Connellsville, Pa.), Katie Tarasovich (FR/Cranberry Twp., Pa.) and Haley Chiusano (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) each had double-digit digs on the day.

Ohio Christian had 46 kills to Carlow's 22.

Carlow travels to Cincinnati Christian University for an RSC match at 7 p.m. on Oct. 18.
