Women’s Soccer ties third consecutive game against RSC opponent

WILMORE, Ky. --- Carlow University women's soccer tied its third game in a row against a River States Conference opponent, ending the game, 0-0, in double overtime against Asbury (Ky.) University Thursday.
Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Forte (Johnstown, Pa.) came up with nine big stops in a complete game effort, including a save in the final minute of the second overtime period. Forte stopped three shots within three minutes early in the second half to keep the Celtics in the game.

The Eagles (2-8-1, 1-1-1 RSC) out-shot the Celtics, 13-10 (6-4 SOG), in regulation. Carlow (2-6-3, 0-0-3 RSC, 1-1 USCAA) had another opportunity to score in the first overtime period, but Asbury's goalkeeper came up with the save.  

The Eagles had 17 shots to Carlow's 12 and held a 4-3 corner kick advantage. Five different Carlow players recorded shots on goal.
