Men’s Soccer comes up short at Penn State Beaver

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost a close, 3-2, match against USCAA opponent Penn State Beaver on the road Tuesday.

The Celtics (0-4 overall, 0-2 USCAA) put points on the board first when Janvier Ramson (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored an unassisted goal in the 13th minute.

Penn State Beaver (4-3) scored two unanswered goals in the 22nd and 29th minutes to lead, 2-1, at halftime.

The Lions scored what would end up being the game-winning goal in the 61st minute to give Penn State Beaver a 3-1 lead.

Ramson cut the lead to 3-2 on a goal in the 78th minute, assisted by Launthar Eh (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.), but the Celtics ran out of time.

The Lions out-shot the Celtics 31-12 and held an 11-1 corner kick advantage.

Goalkeeper Adam Myers (SR/Port Vue, Pa.) made four saves in 41 minutes in net. Colt Zappa (SR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) played the remainder of the match in goal, stopping five shots.
