Women’s Soccer picks up USCAA win over Washington Adventist

TAKOMA Park, Md. --- Carlow University women's soccer extended its all-time record to 6-0 over Washington Adventist University in a 3-0 win on the road Friday.

The Celtics (1-1, 0-0 RSC, 1-0 USCAA) did not allow a single shot on goal, leaving goalkeeper Lauren Forte (SO/Johnstown, Pa.) with her first clean sheet of the season.

Junior Alexa Schwab (Conway, Pa.) struck first for the Celtics in the 36th minute on an assist from Allison McLaughlin (SO/McKeesport, Pa.) to put Carlow on the board before halftime.

Sophomore Haley Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored her first goal as a Celtic in the 85th minute to put Carlow ahead, 2-0.

Schwab added an unassisted goal less than three minutes later to seal the deal.

The Celtics out-shot the Shock, 24-2, and held a 5-0 corner kick advantage.

Carlow returns to action on the road against Shawnee State University for a 6 p.m. game on Aug. 28.
