PITTSBURGH --- NAIA No. 4-ranked Spring Arbor (Mich.) University out-shot Carlow University women's soccer, 15-4, en route to a 2-0 win Tuesday at Highmark Stadium.

The Celtics (0-1) fared better in the season-opener than last season's game against the Cougars with twice as many shots (4) and shots on goal (3).

Senior Morgan Marshall scored both of Spring Arbor's goals early in the first half. The first shot she chipped over the head of goalkeeper Lauren Forte (SO/Johnstown, Pa.) in the eighth minute, and the second came shortly after in the 11th minute on a cross into the box.

Forte (0-1) made eight saves in the complete game effort.

All of Carlow's shots came in the first half, and the Cougars held a 9-1 corner kick advantage.

Carlow travels to Washington Adventist University for a USCAA match on Aug. 23 at 3:30 p.m.
