Men’s Golf finishes season at RSC Championship

FLORENCE, Ind. – Carlow University men’s golf completed the final round of play at the River States Conference Championship Tuesday at Belterra Resort.

The Celtics finished 11th of 11 teams in the conference with a total score of 1147 over the course of three rounds. Each team brought five golfers to the tournament.

Carlow shot 374 in the first round and 371 in the second round on Monday. The Celtics shot 402 as a team on the final day of the tournament.

Sophomore Louis Stefanik (Vandergrift, Pa.) started the day tied for 34th and finished tied for 26th with a total score of 240. He shot his best round on Tuesday with a 77.

Brescia (Ky.) University won the team title with a score of 914, and Tyler Pearson of Indiana University East took the individual title, shooting 218.

At the completion of the tournament, the conference awarded first and second team honors, as well as Newcomer, Golfer and Coach of the Year.

Nick Paone (JR/Export, Pa.) won the Champions of Character award for the Celtics.
