NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Carlow University tennis lost a River States Conference match, 5-0, to Indiana University Southeast on Sunday.

The match started an hour late due to court conditions and ended prematurely due to lightning and rain.

The teams played one set for doubles and an eight-game pro set for the singles matches in an attempt to get most of them in before the storm hit.

The Grenadiers (8-9, 4-0 RSC) bested the Celtics (1-5), 3-0, in doubles and won both complete singles matches (8-0, 8-0).

The other four singles matches were cut short due to the weather.

IU Southeast is 9-0 all-time against the Celtics.

Carlow hosts Midway (Ky.) University for an RSC match at Greensburg Racquet Club on April 13. It is the Celtics’ Senior Day, and recognition will take place before the start of play at 9 a.m.
