Volleyball hosts signing day for incoming athletes

PITTSBURGH -- Carlow University volleyball hosted a signing day on campus for the incoming class of 2023 on April 3.

Head coach Julie Gaul welcomed three new members of the squad and their families to the event.

“It’s a nice opportunity to have everyone in the same room together so the athletes and parents get to meet one another,” Gaul said. “It’s also a chance for me to give the athletes an idea of what to expect when we start summer training camp in August.”

Gaul also took the time to have necessary paperwork signed and completed and to answer any questions the athletes might have.

After brief introductions of assistant coaches Steve Talpas and Maggie Connor; Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Timothy Phillips; and Admissions staff in attendance, each player sat down to sign their Letter of Intent.

“I’m excited for the upcoming season and the energy and enthusiasm the incoming athletes will bring,” Gaul added.
