ELIZABETH TWP., Pa. – Carlow University men’s and women’s golf each hosted home matches at Youghiogheny Country Club Saturday.

The men’s team hosted Waynesburg University and lost, 376-343.

Sophomore Louis Stefanik (Vandergrift, Pa.) led the team with a final score of 83 on the par 72 course.

Nick Paone (JR/Export, Pa.) shot a 91, and freshman Jake Stariha (Leechburg, Pa.) followed closely with a 94.

The women’s team hosted Grove City College, but the match ended up being more of an exhibition since the Wolverines had only three golfers.

The men’s team travels to Grove City April 11, and the women’s team competes against Carnegie Mellon University at the Links at Spring Church on April 13 and 14.
