Men’s and Women’s Track and Field faces tough competition at YSU Invite

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Carlow University men’s and women’s track and field competed in the Youngstown State Invite Friday.

The Celtics faced tough competition against NAIA and NCAA DI, II and III athletes from 28 different colleges and universities.

Olivia Miller (SO/Bolivar, Pa.) placed eighth in the high jump with a personal best of 1.46 meters.

Freshman Shannon Depree ran her best time in the 200, finishing in 30:13, and Kaileen Daniher (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) ran her best time of 1:16.26 in the 400.

On the men’s side, junior Javondii Myers (Columbia, S.C.) placed 12th in the long jump with a personal best of 6.42 meters and 18th in the triple jump, where he also scored a personal best of 12.48 meters.

The 4x400 relay team of freshmen Ethan Stroebel (New Castle, Pa.), Evan Antes (North Versailles, Pa.), Justin Molitoris and Robert Hoffman finished in four minutes flat to earn an 18th place finish.

Molitoris also ran personal bests in the 60 (7:73), 200 (25:33) and 400 (57:22).

The Celtics travel to Geneva, Ohio for the SPIRE Mid-West Indoor Track & Field Open Jan. 25 and 26.
