RSC Media Day: Carlow Women’s Basketball Coverage

MIDDLETON, Ohio – The River States Conference hosted a digital media day for women’s basketball on Wednesday, Oct. 17 with coaches and players around the conference sharing video interviews about the upcoming 2018-19 season via the RSC Stretch Internet portal.

The conference also released the pre-season coaches’ poll and pre-season all-conference teams.

Carlow University earned 10th place in the pre-season coaches’ poll and fifth in the East Division poll.

Second-year head coach Tim Moore shared insights on the upcoming season in the video interview.

“With 11 new freshmen, there’s a different level of energy and commitment this year,” said Moore. “We’re excited to get started.”

Junior guard Kayla Brownlee (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and sophomore forward Emma Stille (Columbus, Ohio) joined Moore on the video to share a player’s perspective.

Brownlee said having a deeper bench this season will allow the team to push hard well into the fourth quarter of games. “I think we’re going to surprise a lot of people,” she said.

“We push each other every day,” added Stille.

Stille was chosen for the All-River States Conference Preseason Women’s Basketball Team.

Women’s basketball tips off on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. against Ave Maria (Fla.) University.
