Stefanik earns USCAA Men’s Golf Second Team All-American honors

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Carlow University men’s golfer Louis Stefanik (SO/ Vandergrift, Pa.) tied for ninth place and earned USCAA Second Team All-American honors at the USCAA National Golf Tournament at Penn State Blue Course on Oct. 8 and 9.

Stefanik shot 72 and 74 in the two-day, 36-hole event to tie for ninth place out of 114 total golfers from around the country.

Carlow shot 344 and 346 as a team to come in 16th of 20 universities in the tournament.

Other Carlow golfers included freshman Jake Stariha (80, 83) – Leechburg, Pa.; freshman Matt Dziazyk (98, 93) – Pittsburgh, Pa.; junior Nick Paone (97, 96) – Export, Pa.; and junior Ryan Bradigan-Barnett (95, 101) – Dayton, Pa.

The Celtics head to the River States Conference Fall Preview at the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Florence, Ind. Oct. 29 and 30. The original dates were set earlier in the month, but the classic was postponed due to inclement weather.
