Stroebel breaks previous school record with performance at PSU Fayette

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Ethan Stroebel placed 14th of 76 runners and led Carlow University to a sixth place finish at the Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 13.

The sophomore from New Castle, Pa. also broke Carlow’s previous school record of 28:52.7 with a time of 28:48.9 in the 8K race.

The Celtics placed sixth with an average time of 31:87.

NCAA DII Frostburg State University won the meet, and Frostburg’s Robert Romano won the race in 25:59.4.

Other Carlow scorers were Chris Woodley (SR/Northern Cambria, Pa.) 30:18.9; Kevin Sheehan (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) 33:20.7; Evan Antes (FR/North Versailles, Pa.) 33:50.7; and Joseph Palmieri (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) 34:02.9.
