Brown leads women’s cross country to third place finish at Eden Hall Invitational

GIBSONIA, Pa. – Carlow University women’s cross country runner Clare Brown placed eighth of 51 runners to lead the Celtics to a third place finish at the Chatham University Eden Hall Invitational Saturday, Sept. 29.

Brown (SR/ Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished with a time of 26:41.99.

Grove City College won the meet with 15 points and Chatham University placed second with 58 points.

The Celtics placed third and scored 79 points with an average pace of 30:48.56.

Grove City’s Maggie Bauman won the race with a time of 25:08.23.

Other Carlow scorers were Amanda Espy (SO/ Oil City, Pa.) 30:38.96; Megan Horgan (JR/Bethel Park, Pa.) 31:42.94; Katherine Winter (JR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) 32:16.20; and Gabrielle Kluger (SR/Yorktown Heights, Pa.).

The Celtics next compete in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Oct. 6.
