Men’s Cross Country finishes fourth at Eden Hall Invitational

GIBSONIA, Pa. --- The Carlow University men’s cross country team finished fourth of six teams at the Chatham University Eden Hall Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 29.

Freshman Ethan Stroebel (New Castle, Pa.) led the team in the 8k race with a time of 29:53.37 to place 16th of 48 runners in the field.

Duquesne University won the meet with 26 points, Grove City College placed second at 36 points and host Chatham University scored 65 points to take third.

The Celtics placed fourth and scored 99 points with an average pace of 33:16.99.

Unaffiliated runner Neftali Jimenez won the race with a time of 27:23.55.

Other Carlow scorers were Chris Woodley (SR/Northern Cambria, Pa.) 31:52.34; Kevin Sheehan (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) 34:36.53; Evan Antes (FR/North Versailles, Pa.) 34:55.11; Joseph Palmieri (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) 35:07.64; and Michael Randal (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) 37:10.95.

The Celtics next compete in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Oct. 6.
