CINCINNATI, Ohio – Carlow University freshman Janvier Ramson scored a hat trick, but the men’s soccer team fell just shy of a win in a 5-3 loss to Cincinnati Christian University Thursday, Sept. 20 at Xavier University.

The Celtics (3-2, 0-1 RSC, 2-0 USCAA) struck first on an unassisted goal in the 5th minute by Ramson (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.).

The Eagles (4-1, 1-0 RSC) tied the game, 1-1, in the 19th minute, and scored back to back goals at 26’ and 29’ to head into the locker room at halftime up, 3-1, over the Celtics.

Cincinnati Christian scored two more goals in the second half to extend their lead to 5-1.

Ramson scored two more unassisted goals late in a game in the 86’ and 89’ to close the gap to 5-3, but it was too little too late for the Celtics.
