Volleyball drops USCAA match to Penn State Beaver

MONACA, Pa. – Carlow University volleyball lost, 3-1, to USCAA opponent Penn State Beaver Thursday, Sept. 20 in Monaca.
 
The Celtics (4-7, 1-1 RSC, 3-3 USCAA) nabbed the first set, 25-22, but lost the subsequent three sets to PSU Beaver (5-5). Carlow narrowly lost the second set, 25-21, before dropping the next two sets 25-12 and 25-20.
Michaela Koran (SR/North Olmsted, Ohio)earned 10 kills and 16 assists. Exotica Hall (FR/Yokosuka, Japan) put up 10 kills, and Mariah Lomire (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) had 19 digs. Freshman Jenna Albert (Monongahela, Pa.) added 15 assists in the effort.
 
Carlow hosts the University of Cincinnati-Clermont and West Virginia State University for a tri-match at Oakland Catholic High School Saturday, Sept. 22. The first match begins at 11 a.m.
