Carlow drops first RSC match to IU East

The Carlow volleyball team dropped its first home match and first River States Conference match to Indiana University East, 3-0 (25-18, 25-9, 25-16), on Saturday, Sept. 15.

The Red Wolves (11-4/2-0) were much more effective offensively, hitting at a .321 clip while Carlow hit just .051. IU East also controlled the net, with 13.5 blocks.

For Carlow, Michaela Koran (SR/North Olmsted, Ohio) had seven kills, six assists, and five digs. Jenna Albert (FR/Monongahela, Pa.) added nine assists and Mariah Lomire (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) 11 digs.

The Celtics (3-6/0-1/3-2) look to rebound Tuesday, when they host Ohio Christian University.
