Myers named USCAA Goalkeeper of the Week

Carlow men’s soccer player Adam Myers has been named the USCAA Men’s Division I Goalkeeper of the Week for his performance during the week of Sept. 4-11.

Myers, a junior from McKeesport, Pa., in his first year playing for the Celtics, recorded 13 saves in two games.

He made 11 saves in a 2-0 shutout against USCAA opponent Penn State Beaver. He also made two saves in a 2-0 loss to NCAA Division II University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, bringing his save percentage to 86.7 for the week to go along with his clean-sheet win.

Myers and the Celtics are 2-1 on the season, and next host University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on Sept. 17.
