The Carlow women’s tennis team wrapped up its regular season at (RV) Asbury (Ky.) University on Saturday, April 21.

The Eagles (11-3/8-0) defeated the Celtics, 9-0, and clinched the River States Conference regular-season title. Asbury enters the RSC Championship undefeated in conference play as the No. 1 seed.

Emily Armstrong (JR/New Kensington, Pa.) was the last player on the court for the Celtics, holding out for three games against Caitlyn Conyers, the top No. 1 singles player in the conference.

Thanks to their big 5-4 win against Ohio Christian on Thursday, the Celtics finished sixth of the nine teams in the RSC with a 3-5 record.

As one of the top six teams, Carlow earned a trip to the conference championship, which will be held April 26-27, at the Linder Family Tennis Center, in Mason, Ohio.
