Tatgenhorst named USCAA Softball Player of the Week for March 27

Carlow catcher Abby Tatgenhorst posted a .500 batting average and a .750 slugging percentage to claim USCAA Softball Player of the Week honors for the week of March 27.

Tatgenhorst went 4-for-8 at the plate in three contests, leading Carlow to a 4-0 win against NCAA Division III Waynesburg University and 6-2 and 8-3 wins against NAIA and River States Conference opponent Ohio Christian University.

The sophomore from Byesville, Ohio had five RBIs, two doubles, four walks and one run scored.

Tatgenhorst currently leads the Celtics and the River States Conference in batting average, at .571.

Carlow is 10-5 overall, 2-0 in the River States Conference, and 5-1 in the USCAA. The Celtics will next face crosstown rival Point Park on Friday.
