Carlow University's Official Statement Regarding Student Protest and Admissions

As long ago as the civil rights marches of the 1960s and as recently as the Women's March on Washington, Carlow students and faculty have always exercised their right to free speech. Carlow University recognizes that right and encourages peaceful engagement with important ideas in all forms. This is Carlow's official statement for all potential applicants to Carlow University:

Carlow University’s core values include “Sacredness of Creation,” which leads us to a respect for each person, and “Service,” which calls us beyond ourselves to prioritize the needs of others over ourselves. Carlow supports students’ right to peacefully protest for safe schools and against gun violence. Applicants to Carlow need not worry that it will negatively affect their admission.
