Carlow senior Charlie Scharbo was named to the All-River States Conference Second Team, as announced by the league at RiverStatesConference.com.
The All-RSC First Team includes 10 players from nine different teams. The Second Team is made up of 10 players from seven teams. Also named was an RSC Men's Basketball Champions of Character Team, which has one player chosen from each school who best represents the NAIA Champions of Character core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. The All-RSC Teams were nominated and voted on by the 13 head coaches in the conference.
Scharbo, a 6-4 forward from Jefferson Hills, Pa., is averaging 16.42 points, 8.71 rebounds, and 1.42 blocks per game. He led the Celtics to a program-high six regular-season RSC wins and helped them advance to the RSC playoffs for the first time in program history.
This is the second straight season Scharbo has earned All-RSC Second Team honors. In 2016-17, he was the first-ever Carlow men’s basketball player to earn the award.
Asbury forward Trenton Thompson was named the RSC Player of the Year.
Junior guard Cole Novotney, from Brownsville, Pa. was Carlow’s Champions of Character representative.
