Carlow sophomore Emma Stille was named to the All-River States Conference Women's Basketball First Team, as announced by the league at RiverStatesConference.com.
The All-RSC First Team includes 10 players from eight different teams. The Second Team is made up of 10 players from nine teams. Also named was an RSC Women’s Basketball Champions of Character Team, which has one player chosen from each school who best represents the NAIA Champions of Character core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership, and sportsmanship. The All-RSC Teams were nominated and voted on by the 13 head coaches in the conference.
Stille, a 6-1 forward from Columbus, Ohio, finished the season averaging 13.92 points, 14.84 rebounds and 2.24 blocks per game.
She ranked first in the RSC and NAIA Division II in rebounds per game. She was also eighth in the NAIA DII and second in the RSC in blocks per game.
Stille, who was an All-RSC Second Team selection as a freshman, and Rio Grande guard Sydney Holden were the only two sophomores named to the First Team.
IU East senior guard Tia King was named the RSC Player of the Year for the second straight season.
Sophomore guard Caroline Willig, from Pittsburgh, Pa. was Carlow’s Champions of Character representative.
