The Carlow women’s basketball team dominated Penn State University Greater Allegheny, 68-20, on Wednesday, Jan. 31, for its third straight win.
The Celtics have now won five of their last six games, including four of their last five River States Conference games.
Emma Stille (SO/Columbus, Ohio) led Carlow with 21 points and five rebounds. Noelle Vallimont (SR/Erie, Pa.) added 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Celtics shot 44.1 percent (30-of-68) from the field and 75 percent (6-of-8) from the foul line, while holding PSUGA to 19.6 percent (9-of-46) shooting from the field.
The Celtics out-rebounded PSUGA, 45-23. They also had a ratio of 17 assists — with three apiece from Vallimont, Sami Simpson (SR/Bethel Park, Pa.), Reanna Turner (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.), and Caroline Willig (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) — to 14 turnovers.
PSU Greater Allegheny was led by Jayla Ellis, with 10 points and five rebounds. Alexandra Hall added eight points and five boards.
The Celtics next host (RV) Indiana University East on Saturday, Feb. 3, in their annual Pink the Pavilion game.
