Stille garners third USCAA Player of the Week honor

Carlow forward Emma Stille has been named the USCAA Player of the Week for the third time this season for the week of Jan. 30.

The sophomore from Columbus, Ohio led the Celtics to two wins this week and kept the Celtics in another close game with one of the top teams in the RSC.

Stille averaged 16 points, 17 rebounds, 4.3 blocks and 1.7 steals across the three contests. She posted a career-high seven blocks in a win against Asbury and two double doubles, for a total of 11 on the season. She also shot 52.4 percent from the field and 100 percent from the foul line.

Stille is now ranked No. 1 in rebounds per game (16.0 rpg) and No. 4 in blocks per game (2.706 bpg) in NAIA DII.

The Celtics next host (RV) Indiana University East on Saturday, Feb. 3, in their annual Pink the Pavilion game.
