Myers named RSC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Carlow sophomore Javondii Myers was named River States Conference Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 22-28.

Myers, a native of Columbia, S.C., won the high jump with a height of 6’7” at the SPIRE Mid West Indoor Track and Field Open, in Geneva, Ohio, on Saturday, Jan. 27. He took first place out of 29 jumpers from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA schools.

Myers' mark of 6’7” is ranked fifth in the nation and meets the NAIA “A” standard, qualifying him for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships held in March.
