Celtics drop USCAA match to WAU

The Carlow men’s soccer team went on the road and fell to USCAA opponent Washington Adventist University, 5-1, on Monday, Oct. 16.

Zack Taylor (SR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored Carlow’s goal. Eddie Scott (FR/McKeesport, Pa.) made 11 saves in net for the Celtics.

Rayan Alneais scored a pair of goals for the Shock. Klem Garcia, Douglas Guevara and Kingsley Nwosu scored a goal apiece. Daniel Moreira and Francisco Vieria each had two assists, and Modou Touray had an assist.

WAU had the advantage in shots, 31-17, while Carlow had the edge in corner kicks, 3-2.

The Celtics (0-12-2/0-5-1/0-2-1) next host No. 5-ranked Rio Grande on Saturday, Oct. 20.
