Pair of late goals puts IU East past Celtics

The Carlow men’s soccer team fell, 2-0, at Indiana University East, on Saturday, Oct. 14.

The Redwolves broke a scoreless battle in the 72nd minute, when Nick Valentine scored on a set piece from 18 yards out, assisted by Daniel Sims.

Nathan Dove added the insurance goal from inside the box in the 89th minute, assisted by Trevor Lenke.

Eddie Scott (FR/McKeesport, Pa.) made 10 saves in goal for Carlow. Aaron Gibson earned the shutout for IU East, making four saves.

The Celtics (0-11-2/0-5-1/0-1-1) next play at USCAA opponent Washington Adventist University, on Monday, Oct. 16, at 6pm.
