Celtics earn RSC tie at OCU

The Carlow men’s soccer team earned a River States Conference tie at Ohio Christian University, on Thursday, Oct. 12.

After a scoreless first half, Cole Waszil (SO/Canonsburg, Pa.) scored his first goal of the season in the 62nd minute, assisted by Dinesh Nepal (JR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) to put Carlow ahead, 1-0.

But with just 5:02 remaining in regulation, Colin Dorman evened the score for CCU, assisted by Kevin Juarez.

Eddie Scott (FR/McKeesport, Pa.) made seven saves in 110 minutes in goal for the Celtics, while Roberto Varela made three for the Trailblazers.

Carlow (0-10-2/0-4-1/0-1-1) next plays at IU East on Saturday, Oct. 14.
