Christopher Woodley (JR/Northern Cambria, Pa.) led the Carlow cross country team with a ninth-place finish at the Chatham University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30.
Woodley medaled with a time of 30:27.46 in the 8K race.
Jeffrey Amorose (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished 12th among 22 runners, in 31:13.94. Carlow’s other scorers were Joseph Palmieri (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) in 36:41.87, Matthew Cannon (FR/Monongahela, Pa.) in 40:26.61 and Chandler Stockwell (JR/Richland/Mich.) in 41:56.12.
The Celtics finished third in the team standings, with 67 points and an average time of 36:09.20. California University of Pennsylvania won the team title with 19 points and an average time of 28:38.83. Chatham was second with a score of 44 and an average time of 30:43.97.
The Celtics next run on Carlow’s homecoming weekend, with a 10am start time Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational.
