Ashley Cassano has been at Carlow University since September 2017, serving as a traditional first year enrollment counselor. Ashley is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, graduated from East High School, and then went on to Clarion University to pursue both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. It was her involvement on campus that inspired her to continue a career working with students in higher education. As a student, Ashley was a first year mentor, new student orientation leader, a tutor-counselor in Upward Bound, a member of the Advisory Board for Leadership and Engagement, a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honors Society in Education, a golden heart of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and a sister of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority -- just to name a few!

Ashley loves her position at Carlow because it allows her to interact with students of all different backgrounds and goals. She enjoys traveling to the various high schools and college fairs within her territory, meeting with students and their families on campus, and assisting students and their families with mapping out the admissions process. Ashley’s greatest joy is helping students plan for their futures and to sit back and watch their success after they confidently choose Carlow!

When Ashley is not in the office, she enjoys rooting for the Pittsburgh Penguins, eating at the variety of restaurants Pittsburgh has to offer, taking her dog Stanley for walks, visiting Presque Isle in her hometown, and spending time with friends.
