Westminster defeats Carlow in men’s soccer

The Carlow men’s soccer team lost, 9-0, to Westminster College, on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Highmark Stadium.

Nick Iregui had a hat-trick for Westminster, scoring the game’s first goal in the fourth minute and adding two more in the second half. Kornel Foremski, Shane Fallen, Jon Clark, Justin Brandt, Fedja Smajic, and Noah West each scored one goal.

(SR/Pittsburgh, Pa.), Zack Taylor (SR/Pittsburgh, Pa.), and Colt Zappa (SO/McKeesport, Pa.) each put a shot on goal for Carlow (0-6-1/0-0/0-1-1). Eddie Scott (FR/North Huntingdon, Pa.) made nine saves in goal.

Carlow goes on the road Sept. 28 for its first River States Conference game of the year, against Cincinnati Christian University.
