The Carlow women’s cross country team finished third in a field of six teams at the Saint Vincent College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Amanda Espy (FR/Oil City, Pa.) followed up her first-place finish in her last outing at the Penn State University Greater Allegheny Invitational with a third-place finish at Saint Vincent. She led the Celtics with a time of 25:27.49.
The Celtics scored 83 points and averaged a 28:37.90 time in the 6K race against NCAA Division III competition. Saint Vincent won the team title, with 36 points and an average 26:19.19 time. Tori Fulkroad, of Pitt-Johnstown, was the individual winner, in a time of 23:52.66.
Larissa Kijowski (FR/Dayton, Pa.) finished 16th in the field of 48 runners, with a time of 28:08.99. Leanne Glaub (SR/West Seneca, N.Y.) was 23rd, in 29:19.94. Hannah Thornton (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) was 25th, in 29:47.89. Olivia Miller (FR/Bolivar, Pa.) was 29th, in 30:25.19.
The Celtics next run at the Chatham University Invitational on Sept. 30 at 9:45am.
