Abt leads Celtics with third-place finish at MVNU

The Carlow women’s golf team dropped a non-conference match to Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Saturday, 713-847. The Celtics battled through cold, wind and rain at Chapel Hill Golf Course in their first 36-hole competition.

Natalie Abt (FR/Glenshaw, Pa.) led the Celtics with a 166 (84, 82) and finished in third place overall.

MVNU’s Andrea Martin was the winner, shooting 163 (84, 79) on the par 72, 5,221-yard course.

The Celtics next play at River States Conference rival Point Park on Thursday, April 13, at Quick Silver Golf Course.
