Carlow forward Charlie Scharbo was named to the All-River States Conference Men’s Basketball Second Team.
The awards were voted on by the RSC's 13 men's basketball head coaches and released at RiverStatesConference.com Tuesday.
Scharbo, a 6-4 junior from Jefferson Hills, Pa., is the first Carlow men’s basketball player to earn all-conference recognition.
Scharbo averaged 17.04 points, 8.31 rebounds and 1.35 blocks per game, and shot 52.8 percent from the field — all team-highs. His field goal percentage was ranked third in the RSC. He also averaged 2.42 assists and 1.38 steals per game, and posted eight double doubles.
Scharbo has scored 1,020 career-points, becoming the first Carlow men’s basketball player to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
He scored his 1,000th point and posted his career-highs of 32 points and 20 rebounds as he led the Celtics to a 75-74 overtime victory against Point Park on February 7.
