Get to know two of our staff members.
In an effort to get to know one another, the Staff Council will be inviting staff members to share a little bit about themselves. Each month two staff members will be randomly selected to be featured in the "Staff Spotlight."
Q. What do you do at Carlow?
A. I am the Front Office Assistant for the Admissions
Q. What is the last book you read?
A. "The Starbucks Experience" by Joseph A.
Michelli. It inspires me to develop leadership skills and
turning simple acts into extraordinary ones which will have a great
impact to any organization.
Q. If you had two weeks and all the resource you needed
- what would you do with this opportunity? Where would you go? Who
would you take with you?
A. I would love traveling to Europe, Paris in specific and I
would take my husband Tony, son Michael, and beloved Mom.
Q. What is your favorite season and why?
A. Springtime is my favorite season. Flowers start to blossom,
and I love to see plants and trees turning green.
Q. What was the last movie you saw? Who was your
A. I watched latest movie "Jason Bourne" with
my family in California this summer 2016 and liked Matt Damon as
Q. What is your favorite thing to do when you are
not at Carlow?
A. Fishing was one of my favorite leisure
activities. Opening of "Trout Season" usually on the early spring
was the most exciting part although you have to get up at early
morning to prepare your rods and baits like wax worms, butter
worms, night crawlers and power baits. During summertime we fish
for Walleye, Perch and Steelhead.
Q. What do you do at Carlow?
A. I locate or write records for all of the print and A/V materials
purchased for the library. I catalog them according to coding
standard. I move these records into the online catalog for use by
the Carlow Community in locating materials.
I also do the acquisitions. I write up the orders, place the
orders with the vendors and requisition payment. I track the
budgets and process the books for the shelves. I supervise 3
students that help with filing and processing. Q. What is the last book you read?
A. Ready Player One-A virtual candy store of 80s pop-culture. Q. What is your favorite thing to do when you are not at
A. If there is a Crocheters Anonymous I should probably join it.
However, I also really love to cook. The only thing like more than
cooking is seeing people enjoy what I've made. If it's at a
campground I'm in heaven. Q. If you had two weeks and all the resources you needed-what

Who would you take with you? A. I would go to England and visit Shakespeare's Globe Theater. I
hunt antique shops for odd Victoriana. I would take in
history. I would take my brother Pete who is the only one
that can tolerate absorbing every detail with me. Also, if Pete's
around we will be fed-it's a gift of his. Q. If the Steelers didn't exist, who would you root for and
A. I can't root for another sports team so I would root for Dr.
Jaime Jimenez and the team at Save the Wild Chinchillas. I
