Celtics unable to hold on to first RSC lead


The Carlow University men’s soccer team dropped a River States Conference match to Brescia University, 3-1, on Thursday, Oct. 6, in Owensboro, Ky.

The Celtics (2-5/0-3/1-0) held a 1-0 lead at halftime, their first lead in RSC play, after Dinesh Nepal (SO/Pittsburgh, PA) scored his second career goal.

However, the Bearcats stormed back in the second half to score all three of their goals and earn their first River States Conference win of the season.

Kosi Agbevor (JR/Brooklyn, NY) was in goal for the Celtics, making four saves. Max Wolf made three saves for Brescia.

The Celtics next play Midway University on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 3:30pm.
