Accounting Major/Minor

The accounting major requires the student to complete 27 credits in accounting as well as courses in the Business Management and Information Technology and Management curriculum. All accounting majors also earn a business management minor. Students can opt for a double major by combining accounting with another discipline by consulting with their advisor. The well-prepared accounting graduate will be expected to advise clients in all facets of accounting and business including communications, management, and finance. The accounting major is designed to give the student experience in these areas.

The accounting major/business management minor leads to the Bachelor of Science degree. The curriculum integrates a strong liberal arts education with the requirements for application for various licenses, such as a Certified Public Accountant as established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A wide variety of internships are available for those students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
