Secondary Education Certification
Secondary teachers are prepared to teach one or more content areas to students in grades seven through 12. Teacher candidates major in the content area they wish to teach—biology, chemistry, English, general science, mathematics, or social studies—and are encouraged to prepare themselves in a second teaching area.
