This course reviews descriptive and inferential statistics, examines research methods commonly used by counselors, needs assessment, and program evaluation. An introduction to computer based statistical analyses used in conducting research and program evaluation will be provided. Emphasis will be placed on research methods used to improve counseling effectiveness. Ethical and legal considerations will be explored. 3 credits
