Strength In Numbers
Faculty are both the providers and recipients of logistical, research and some financial support for incorporating community- and global-based research, learning, and outreach initiatives into the curriculum. The Institute also acts as a forum for sharing knowledge and exploring interests and social justice research pursuits.
Students have the opportunity to actively participate in community- and global-based project development and implementation, including leadership training for service and social action.
Community Partners are able to contribute to the Institute by advocating with the Institute for policy and institutional change at the local level. They can also draw upon the Institute's expertise in quantitative and qualitative assessment, data analysis and reporting, theoretical and technical skills for research design, and information management.
Global Partners provide service learning and social justice activism opportunities across communities and continents while benefiting from the Institute's knowledge, research and service capacity.
