Join us for a public lecture from JOYCE KOZLOFF, an internationally known artist who creates pattern-based and cartographical art. A life-long peace advocate, Kozlof is an original member of the Pattern and Decoration Movement and the Feminist Art Movement of the 1970s. She is a founding member of the Heresies Collective (1977-1993), and an original member of “We Make America,” an organization that makes visual statements in support of social justice causes. Her work has been displayed at the U.S. Consulate in Istanbul, the Cultural Center in Kurayoshi, Japan, the National Airport in Washington, D.C., and the San Francisco Airport, as well as installations in Buffalo, Wilmington, Detroit, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston and New York.
