From the East
When heading west on the Turnpike, take exit 6 to Pittsburgh. It is about 17 miles from the Turnpike to Carlow.
- After exiting the Turnpike, follow Route 376 West into Pittsburgh.
- Take Exit 3B Oakland, Bates Street.
- Go up the hill to the 1st light, and turn left onto the Boulevard of the Allies.
- At the 1st light, bear right onto Halket Street.
- Halket ends at Fifth Avenue. Make a left onto Fifth Ave. See remaining directions from Fifth Avenue which follow.
From the North
From the Turnpike East, take Exit 3, Cranberry Exit, onto Route 19 South and follow signs to 79 South.
- Once on 79 South, follow signs to 279 South.
- Exit left onto 279 South towards Pittsburgh, until you reach the junction with 579 South.
- Take 579 South over the Veteran's Bridge. Stay in the left lane while crossing the bridge.
- Once across the bridge, get in the right lane and follow the signs towards 376 East, Monroeville onto the Boulevard of the Allies. DO NOT take the Monroeville exit ramp. Instead, stay in the left lane towards Oakland.
- Make a left onto Halket Street at the 2nd light.
- Make a left onto Fifth Ave. See remaining directions from Fifth Avenue which follow.
From the South, West and Airport
From 79 North, or 22/30 East, exit at Pittsburgh, onto 279 North.
- Go through the Fort Pitt Tunnels towards Pittsburgh. Stay in the right lane.
- Bear right to Exit 6A towards 376 East. Take Exit 2A (about 2 miles) to Forbes Avenue/Oakland.
- On Forbes Avenue, get into the far left lane.
- Make a left at the 2nd light onto Halket Street.
- Make a left onto Fifth Avenue. See remaining directions from Fifth Avenue which follow.
From Fifth Avenue to Parking and the Admissions Office
- At the Carlow marquis, turn right onto the driveway. (Note: If you reach Craft Avenue, you have missed our driveway entrance, and will need to turn left onto Craft Avenue, and circle back around the block to Halket and then Fifth).
- Once on Carlow's driveway, go up the hill past Frances Warde Hall on your right.Antonian Hall will be on your left. Directly across the street from the glass entry doors of Antonian, you will find our admissions parking spaces by the right curb. The curb is painted yellow for these spaces. If you received a parking permit via mail, display it on your dashboard; if you need a parking permit, come into the Admissions Office to obtain one. Enter through the double set of doors on the 3rd floor (the entry-level floor) of Antonian Hall. The Admissions Office Welcome Center is straight ahead (across from the elevator).
- If there are no admissions spaces available outside Antonian, you may proceed up the drive and park in any space not marked as convent or handicapped parking (unless, of course, that applies to you). If you need a permit, please obtain one from the Admissions Office before proceeding up the drive, so you'll save yourself the walk back to your vehicle to display the permit.
To Admissions "Campus Visit Day " Parking Lot A:
- Pass the Carlow marquis on 5th Avenue. Immediately after the Carlow driveway entrance, turn right at the Craft Avenue light into Parking lot A.
- A.J. Palumbo Hall of Science is right across the street from Parking lot A.

From Pittsburgh and South: Take Interstate 79 North to Exit 78 - Route 228 - Cranberry/Mars. Turn right onto Route 228 East. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Cranberry Woods Drive. Follow Cranberry Woods Drive to the first stop sign. Take the first right after the stop sign, just past the lake and before the MSA Building. This is the entrance into the Regional Learning Alliance parking lot.
From Erie and North: Take Interstate 79 South to Exit 78 - Route 228 - Cranberry/Mars. Turn left onto Route 228 East. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Cranberry Woods Drive. Follow Cranberry Woods Drive to the first stop sign. Take the first right after the stop sign, just past the lake and before the MSA Building. This is the entrance into the Regional Learning Alliance parking lot.

Carlow University - Greensburg - is located in the J.A.S. Professional Center on the left side across from the BP Oil Company and sits immediately prior to the Fort Allen Fire Department.
If you are traveling:
West on Route 30 (from Latrobe, Somerset County, and points East)
Take the West Newton Street/Route 136 Exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn right on to Route 136W. Follow Route 136W approximately 1.4 miles.
East on Route 30 (from Irwin, Allegheny County, and points West)
Turn right on to South Greengate Road which is located at the traffic light immediately following the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County building and across from the former Greengate Mall. Follow South Greengate Road until it ends. Turn right on to Route 136W and proceed aproximately 0.4 miles.
North on Route 119 (from New Stanton, Fayette & Washington Counties and points South)
Turn left on to Willow Crossing Road which is located at the traffic light immediately prior to the Kings Restaurant on the left and the Westmoreland County FCU on the right. Follow Willow Crossing Road, crossing over Swede Hill/Carbon Road, until it ends. Turn left on to Route 136W and proceed approximately 0.1 miles.
South on Route 119 (from New Alexandria, Indiana & Cambria Counties and points North)
Proceed through the traffic light at the Sheetz in Greensburg and the railroad under Arch Street to the traffic light and turn right on to Otterman Street. Follow Otterman Street through Greensburg and turn left on to Gaithers Way which is located approximately 0.1 miles from the traffic light at Westminster Avenue. Follow Gaithers Way to its end, cross Pittsburgh Street, and continue straight on to West Newton Street. Follow West Newton Street/Route 136W approximately 1.8 miles. |
