The minor in corrections is an interdisciplinary minor that draws from courses in justice studies, psychology, and social work. It provides a pathway to communities of practice in programs administered by county, state, and federal agencies, such as, probation officers, parole officers, corrections treatment specialists, pre-trial case officers, case managers, and corrections counselors, and with private and non-profit agencies that administer programs for transitional housing, employment programs, mental health and substance abuse treatment.
