Did you know that the majority of Carlow students are commuters? Whether you walk, bike, bus, carpool, or drive, the Office of Campus Life is here to support you both inside and outside the classroom!
Parking is free for commuter students during New Student Orientation. Once the school year begins, parking passes can be purchased through the Police Office or online through myPortal (login required).
Monthly bus passes are available for purchase in the Student Hub (located on the second floor of Antonian Hall) at a discounted rate.
Carlow University students can ride the bus in Zone 1 for just $1 on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and after 7pm on weekdays (Monday-Friday).
The Commuter Student Association (CSA) plans programs like bagel breakfasts, pizza lunches, and other fun activities specifically for commuter students. The CSA also serves as a liaison between commuter students, staff and faculty at Carlow University to improve the commuter experience.
The Commuter Lounge, located in Frances Warde Hall, is a dedicated space for commuters to hang out in between classes. There is a Keurig one-cup coffee machine, microwave, and a refrigerator in the lounge and most commuter programming occurs in this space.
Keep an eye out for commuter-specific programs and services on the Commuter Student bulletin board in the Commuter Lounge.
Carlow University is a part of Commuter Connections, a cohort uniting commuter students at Carlow University, Chatham University, Point Park University, and the University of Pittsburgh. The cohort provides interactive programming for commuter students from all four campuses.Want to get involved? Email the Carlow Student Association at email@example.com!
