Students who complete their academic programs in the summer and fall semesters attend the winter commencement ceremony. For summer graduates, their official transcripts reflect their actual graduation date (August). Summer graduates also receive their diplomas in August, while December graduates receive their diplomas within six weeks of winter commencement.

Students who complete their academic programs in the spring attend the spring commencement ceremony. Students only attend the spring ceremony if they have completed all of the requirements necessary to graduate. Exceptions are made for student teachers (who are passing their student teaching experience) and cannot complete their final requirement until the public schools dismiss for summer break.
