Carlow Cheerleading

Carlow University Cheerleading is a co-ed noncompetition cheerleading squad that performs at all home basketball games, as well as select away games. Cheer Squad members must possess stunting and tumbling skills. Cheer members must attend all practices and events as scheduled. The team practices twice a week with a duration of two hours each (4 hours/week) throughout the school year to work on skills and to prepare for performances.

The cheer program operates under Carlow University Student Life with the support of the Student Government Association. The squad’s main purpose is to support and promote school spirit. The team aims to build sportsmanship, character, structure, support of fellow athletes, crowd involvement at events, and spirit to Carlow’s student body.
In its third year at Carlow, the cheer program is focused on developing the members with the elite skills of cheerleading with an emphasis on participation, teamwork, safety and responsibility. As a member of the Carlow Cheerleading squad, you will participate in appearances, fundraisers, special events, and athletic events. All cheerleaders are required to maintain good academic standing and have at least a 2.0 GPA.
