Head Coach Julie Gaul
Julie Gaul is entering her sixth season as the head coach of the Carlow Celtics, and her fourteenth as a member of the Celtic coaching staff. As a student at the University of Pittsburgh, Gaul captained the women's volleyball team and was named the Team and Big East MVP. More importantly, she helped guide Pitt to the first Big East Conference Championship in school history.
Gaul served as an assistant volleyball coach at Pitt from 1983-85. She has also worked as a manager of a corporate fitness center in Maryland and at various fitness clubs in New York, including the Downtown Athletic Club.
Along with her coaching duties, Gaul is the Wellness and Fitness Director at Carlow University, and serves as the strength and conditioning coach for all Carlow athletes. During the summer, she organizes and runs various volleyball skills camps for High School players.

Assistant Coach George Sliman
George Sliman is entering his fifth year as assistant coach for the Celtics. An alumni of the University of Pittsburgh, Sliman joined Carlow as a volleyball assistant in 1983 and became head coach in 1988. During his time as head coach, Sliman also became active in USA Volleyball, serving as an apprentice coach at the USA Olympic Training Facility in San Diego, CA and earning his CAP II coaching certification.
Sliman has also coached Juniors Volleyball with both the Pittsburgh Golden Triangles and the Pittsburgh Elite Organizations. He was named Carlow's Director of Athletics in 1999, and was instrumental in the Celtics' move into the American Mideast Conference.
