2006 -- Received "Leading Ladies" award from Oakland Catholic High School

2005 – Received Distinguished Leadership Award from Leadership Wilkes-Barre

2005 – Invited Member of the International "Who’s Who" Historical Society

2003 – Named one of “Top 20 Women in Business” by the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal

2002 – Honored by the Arthritis Foundation as the “Outstanding Community Leader of the Year”

2002 – Re-elected to second term as Chair of the Northeast Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Universities

1998 - 2000 – Elected Chair of the Luzerne County Council of Presidents

1998 - 2000– Elected Chair of the Northeast Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Universities

1996 – Awarded the “Outstanding Academic Leadership Team Award” by the Chair Academy

1995 – Received the Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland

1994 – Presented with the Yokahama Academy Award for International Partnership

1994 – Honored with the “Maryland Association of Higher Education Distinguished Program Award” for the Partnership between Catonsville Community College and University of Maryland at Baltimore County

1993 – Earned the “Catonsville Community College’s Foundation Award for Outstanding Professional Service”

1993 – Awarded Honorable Mention as Maryland’s Outstanding Academic Administrator by the Maryland Association of Higher Education

1992 – Became one of 10 National American Council on Education representatives selected to travel to The Netherlands for its Higher Education Study

1992 – Received the “Maryland Association of Higher Education Distinguished Program Award of Merit” for the January Term Institute, a collaboration with Western Maryland College

1989 – Presented with the Maryland Association of Higher Education Distinguished Program Award for the Center for Teaching Excellence

1987 - 88 – Named a Fellow of the American Council on Education; invited for a year to serve as Special Assistant to the President of Gettysburg College

1982 – Named a selected participant “Leader of the 80’s” for the American Association of Women in Community and Junior Colleges/Fund for the Improvement of Post Secondary Education
